Choice Privileges points can be useful for stays in expensive destinations, such as New York City or near ski resorts in the winter. But the program also offers some unique redemption options.
Choice award nights cost between 6,000 and 35,000 points in most destinations, which TPG values at $36 to $210. In this story, we’ll explore some exciting ways to redeem Choice points.
Suites for no upcharge
At many Choice properties, you can book suites and upgraded rooms for the same number of points as base-level rooms. For example, you could book a one-bedroom suite with a fireplace for the same points as a standard room at The Ridgeline Hotel-Estes Park, Ascend Hotel Collection, in Colorado.
So, check all the room types when you redeem Choice points to ensure you get the best room for your trip.

Nordic properties that include dinner
Some Nordic Choice properties include breakfast and a light evening buffet in their rates. Even when redeeming Choice points, you can still enjoy these complimentary perks.
If you’re looking for a Choice hotel that includes breakfast and a light dinner in your rate, consider the following hotels:
- Norway: Clarion Collection Hotel Kongsberg for 20,000 points per night.
- Sweden: Clarion Collection Hotel Uppsala and Clarion Collection Hotel Slottsparken, both for 20,000 points per night.

Multi-bedroom vacation rentals
You can book various Bluegreen Vacations resorts using Choice points. When I wrote this story, I could book a variety of two-bedroom suites at the Bluegreen Vacations Fountains, Ascend Resort Collection, in Orlando, Flordia, for a last-minute trip.

Availability at Bluegreen Vacations resorts can be difficult to snag using Choice points. I’ve had good luck booking stays right when the 100-day booking window opens and within a week of check-in.

3-bedroom house in New Zealand
You can also redeem Choice points to reserve an entire house at the Quality Suites Huka Falls in New Zealand. At this property, the two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments are stand-alone houses.
I recently redeemed 25,000 Choice points to stay in a three-bedroom house at this Quality Suites. Although the property is a bit worn, I enjoyed this unique redemption and the extra space it provided.

Stay in the middle of Venice
Prices are high this summer in much of Europe, and Venice is no exception. But you can still stay in Venice’s Santa Croce district for just 20,000 points on weeknights and 25,000 points on weekends.
You can even use a water door to enter the hotel from the canal. However, you’ll want to book shortly after the 100-day booking window opens to find the best availability.
